If you have to be careful, I can help you watch your... weight? I guess? Does it change very quickly? [ She leans over to give his stomach a skeptical look. She has no idea what he's concerned about - he's all lithe and slim and muscular. ]

No, no! It's just...if I'm not careful, I get fat. All this muscle is hard work and a lot of salads.

[ She's really not sure it's supposed to be as extreme as that? He sounds fairly miserable about it, actually. ]

If it makes you feel better, we could go for a walk after we eat? [ If these drinks didn't prove too potent... ] Or maybe in the morning? I don't want you to be worried about having fun tonight.

[ She relaxes once more, smiling at him and bumping her shoulder against his own in encouragement. ]

It is. And it sounds like we're both very much in need of it.

[And off he goes, tail wagging, to get their drinks and food. It takes him a minute, but soon enough--]

Here we go, two drinks and all the onion rings and french fries I could carry!

[ She smiles as she watches him, that tail - as always - a sure clue to his mood at any given moment. It's adorable.

When he comes back, she's still watching him, chin propped in her palm and a grin on her lips. ]

Oooh, those look delicious! Thank you, Prompto!

[Excuse Prompto as he goes on a full "here's the best way to eat fries and onion rings" speech because he's a dork.]

--and of course you can just eat them plain, but why would you?

[ She listens avidly to his entire speech, because she had no idea that eating these fries was such serious business.

...And also because he was still adorable when he got really excited about things. ]

So what is your favorite way, then? [ she teases him after his final emphatic statement. ]

Every sauce on the menu, or whatever fancy house sauce they have for the onions!

[He grins, grabbing a fry and dipping it in one of the various sauces he'd grabbed.]

Every sauce at once? [ She's not sure whether to be horrified or amused. ] How can you even taste anything if you do that?

[ She laughs then, reaching out to try some of the sauce nearest to her on one of the fries. ]

So you don't have a favorite?

Not here. There was a place in Insomnia that had spicy ranch--that's my favorite.

[ What strange names things in his homeworld had. ]

Oh, but there's regular ranch here, though, right? [ She glances down at the assembled sauces he'd brought along, trying to remember which one that had been. ] Couldn't you just make it spicy?

Nah, it's not the same if the spices aren't in there when they're making it. It's like trying to add salt to something after it's cooked--you can, sure, but it'll still taste different than if you had it from the start.

Oh, hmm. I guess you have a point. [ That's more Yoon's specialty than hers. She's definitely the sort to have to add salt afterwards. ]

I wonder if it's very hard to make from scratch, then? So you can add the spices when you need to?

I know back home they sell, y'know, packets of ranch flavoring you add mayo too to make homemade ranch? But I don't know the spices that go into that.

So it's a spice collection. [ she hums thoughtfully at that, munching on another fry in the dark sauce he'd called 'barbecue'. ]

...I might know someone I can ask. I'll let you know if he knows what goes into them.
