[ He grumbles a little and rummages in a sack attached to his belt. From it, he pulls three runestones, made of colourful, semi-precious rocks. Voice down to a whisper. ]
I use these for making a silent area. [ So more like silence enchantment ] I'm just stingy with them.
[ Oooor, he simply forgot about manners in library. ]
[ Caster looks around, catching at least one thunderous glance at them. He puts his hand on Yona's shoulder directing them— into corridor full of shelves with books, and further away from all those tables and couches for people reading them.
At least he keeps his voice low. ]
Precious stones and crystal work best. I figured how to make them with cheaper stones but— [ he rolls the runestones on the palm of his hand. ] They turn to dust after using.
[ This being quiet in a library thing is still very new and strange to Yona. How will one learn if they do not question? But she can at least respect the rules for being what they are.

Perhaps they are not strong enough to hold the magic that is needed? Or maybe the magic doesn't like being closed in this type of material?
Yeah, not every material holds magic well. But fortunately these works in a pinch. [ He debates if he should set a silencing barrier around them, but they probably chatted a lot. And the library does have closing hours, so— he took enough of her time.
