[ She laughs and turns at the sound of a familiar voice, leaning up on tiptoes so she can reach to throw her arms about Prompto's neck in a welcoming hug. ]

Prompto! I was trying something different. [ Although after the hug, she takes a step back, glancing down at herself with a flustered look. ] Although I'm not sure I've done it right?

[He returns the hug with a grin.]

You totally have. You look so cute! Who's idea was this outfit?

Mmm, there's a fae designer I met not long after I arrived here. He's asked me to model in several of his shows in my time here and he usually pays me in clothing. Which was fine, since I hadn't arrived here with much of anything. [ She looks a little sheepish at that. ] I haven't worn most of them yet, but I thought it might be time to try.

He's got A+ taste and you should totally keep modeling for him.

[Just saying. But now! Dinner and a distraction. Prompto leads Yona in, getting the door and everything like a gentleman. The place is a bit loud, but not offensively so, and it's very warm and cozy, easy to see why Prompto might like going here. Prompto manages to get a table that's pretty quiet, at least.]

You want me to pick something for you or do you, like, have things you like or...?

We can look at a menu and decide from there. [ She offers him a warm smile as she settles down at a table with him. ] Do you have any favorites here?

Oh, there's this thing they make that has, like, ginger and some kinda spicy sauce thing? I love it, but I just like spicy things...oh, there's a berry vodka drink that's pretty good, or, y'know, regular beer and stuff. Oh, and some of the other Mirrorbound taught them how to do french fries and onion rings, which are terrible for me but I'm getting them anyway.

[ She blinks at this spill of somewhat unfamiliar words, head cocked inquisitively to the side. ]

What are french fries and...onion rings?

Things I am getting enough of to share. French fries are sliced fried potatoes and onion rings are...rings of onion, also fried. I try to eat healthy, okay, but if I'm here I'm gonna eat fried food!

I don't think I've had either of these things. [ She looks curious, though. ] And I'm sure one night of indulgence wouldn't be the worst thing. Sometimes it's very warranted.

Said by someone who has never had to watch their weight. Anyway, drinks?

[ She glances down at herself in confusion. ]

Watch my... what? What does that mean? [ The concept is completely foreign to her. ]

And yes, drinks would be nice.

...Is that something that has to be... 'watched' in your world?

[ What a strange concept.

But she does pause to peruse the menu, glancing over the food and drink descriptions. She recognizes a few she'd tried before down at the bar Caster favors and her eyes light up when she spots one of them - among the appetizers of course. ]

Oh! They have the soft pretzel-things here with cheese. Have you ever tasted that before? It's amazing.

It does for some people--I've gotta be careful.

[But at the mention of soft pretzels, his eyes light up.]

Uh, yes? They're good with ranch--uh, a type of dressing, too. Wanna get some?

Yes! We can split those, and the fries and onions if you'd like? And I think I want this berry drink, that's the one you mentioned earlier, isn't it? [ It is very pink, he wasn't wrong. ]

If you have to be careful, I can help you watch your... weight? I guess? Does it change very quickly? [ She leans over to give his stomach a skeptical look. She has no idea what he's concerned about - he's all lithe and slim and muscular. ]

No, no! It's just...if I'm not careful, I get fat. All this muscle is hard work and a lot of salads.

[ She's really not sure it's supposed to be as extreme as that? He sounds fairly miserable about it, actually. ]

If it makes you feel better, we could go for a walk after we eat? [ If these drinks didn't prove too potent... ] Or maybe in the morning? I don't want you to be worried about having fun tonight.

Nah, we're good tonight. Tonight is stress relief!

[ She relaxes once more, smiling at him and bumping her shoulder against his own in encouragement. ]

It is. And it sounds like we're both very much in need of it.

Exactly! Be right back!

[And off he goes, tail wagging, to get their drinks and food. It takes him a minute, but soon enough--]

Here we go, two drinks and all the onion rings and french fries I could carry!

[ She smiles as she watches him, that tail - as always - a sure clue to his mood at any given moment. It's adorable.

When he comes back, she's still watching him, chin propped in her palm and a grin on her lips. ]

Oooh, those look delicious! Thank you, Prompto!

No problem. Now--

[Excuse Prompto as he goes on a full "here's the best way to eat fries and onion rings" speech because he's a dork.]

--and of course you can just eat them plain, but why would you?

[ She listens avidly to his entire speech, because she had no idea that eating these fries was such serious business.

...And also because he was still adorable when he got really excited about things. ]

So what is your favorite way, then? [ she teases him after his final emphatic statement. ]

Every sauce on the menu, or whatever fancy house sauce they have for the onions!

[He grins, grabbing a fry and dipping it in one of the various sauces he'd grabbed.]

Dig in!

Every sauce at once? [ She's not sure whether to be horrified or amused. ] How can you even taste anything if you do that?
