[ Her delight at hearing his voice is evident even with only her voice coming through the connection, although she quickly turns more serious, not having expected his call. ]

How are you? Is everything alright?

Oh, yeah, I'm fine. I'm calling to see how you're doing.

Me?

[ She sounds startled by the question, and a little uncertain as to why he's asking. ]

I... I'm doing alright, I think? Why?

Weren't you one of the people who went into that hellhole the other day?

Well, yes, but I wasn't one of the ones held captive by them.

[ Which made a world of difference but did little to dim the horrors she'd witnessed that night.

Even now, her breath hitches softly as she closes her eyes, a shudder slipping down her spine. ]

It was horrible. I don't think I've ever seen anything so...

Yeah. [A soft sigh.] Yeah, I bet. That's why I'm checking on you--I know that stuff's kinda...terrible.

Are you okay? [ She knows she'd asked that before, but after the tone in his voice at that last comment, she feels the need to ask again. ] You weren't there were you?

[ She hoped not. For his sake. ]

Oh, no, thankfully. I just stayed back to help with recovery and stuff. I just...long story.

I'm glad. [ Her voice is quiet and soft. ] You shouldn't have to see things like that.

[ Is she a little protective of her gentle, sunny friend? Yes, very. ]

[Softly:] Little late for that uh...

[Louder:] Uh, anyway! You hungry? There's a bar near my place doing a special.

[ She heard that little aside, but for the moment, she lets herself be distracted by that invitation instead. ]

A special? Ahh, yes, I could eat! Would you like me to meet you there?

Sure! My tre--oh, yeah, d'you drink? They have other stuff, obviously, but if you don't wanna be around people drinking we can take it somewhere else.

[ She gives a soft laugh at that. ]

I don't mind drinking. Caster is very fond of a place down by the docks that we go to sometimes. [ And that is on a whole different level from the taverns she'd visited back home on her travels. ] It will be fun to try somewhere new.

Cool, because this place has some really cool looking drinks and one that is the pinkest thing I've ever seen. You've gotta see it, Yona, it's more pink than your hair!

[ That has her laughing more now. ]

My hair is red, thank you. But I will happily try a very pink drink. When would you like to meet?

Red, sorry!

[It's totally pink.]

An hour? I gotta feed Prim.

And I need to get ready.

Shi--uh, hour and a half!

[Someone forgot he probably doesn't want to go out with a friend smiling like bird.

Either way, Prompto will be there in an hour and a half, he swears.]

[ She laughs again and lets the connection drop, turning to go get ready.

Some of her friends have been helping her try more modern clothing so tonight was a bit of an experiment as she shows up in one of the outfits that now hung in her closet. She looks a little nervous, in fact, to be out of her more familiar clothing, but she doubts Prompto will judge her. She hopes?

Showing up right on time, she lingers outside the bar near Prompto's house, breath making little puffs in the cold evening air as she waits. ]

[Prompto spots her, takes a moment to marvel at Yona in a cute outfit, and jogs over after that moment.]

Hey, miss? I'm looking for my friend? About your height, with your hair, but always in long flowy dresses?

[Dork.]

[ She laughs and turns at the sound of a familiar voice, leaning up on tiptoes so she can reach to throw her arms about Prompto's neck in a welcoming hug. ]

Prompto! I was trying something different. [ Although after the hug, she takes a step back, glancing down at herself with a flustered look. ] Although I'm not sure I've done it right?

[He returns the hug with a grin.]

You totally have. You look so cute! Who's idea was this outfit?

Mmm, there's a fae designer I met not long after I arrived here. He's asked me to model in several of his shows in my time here and he usually pays me in clothing. Which was fine, since I hadn't arrived here with much of anything. [ She looks a little sheepish at that. ] I haven't worn most of them yet, but I thought it might be time to try.

He's got A+ taste and you should totally keep modeling for him.

[Just saying. But now! Dinner and a distraction. Prompto leads Yona in, getting the door and everything like a gentleman. The place is a bit loud, but not offensively so, and it's very warm and cozy, easy to see why Prompto might like going here. Prompto manages to get a table that's pretty quiet, at least.]

You want me to pick something for you or do you, like, have things you like or...?

We can look at a menu and decide from there. [ She offers him a warm smile as she settles down at a table with him. ] Do you have any favorites here?
