What he was doing to himself was far worse, and also wasn't allowing him to think clearly in the first place.

No, but I think it's good for them to think SOME of themselves.

Besides, most of that spun out of control because he started believing himself to be the bigger danger to me if he kept the name I gave him. I wish he HAD been thinking a little more of himself.

I don't think anyone cares for that sort of thing. I don't think he expected me to call his bluff, either way. But he also wasn't thinking clearly anymore when the Blight started to really affect him.

People make mistakes. Even if he went about it the wrong way, he was still trying to protect me from what he saw as a danger. People can be stubborn about things like that.

But since you seem to know who they are, might you know their name? Are they a god or a shinki?
